The experience of having my own space to reflect on certain issues of life fascinated me. I would like to continue writing my views on many others themes in the future. This exercise causes an incredible effect on students. Put the person to practice the drafting, vocabulary and many other aspects. The simple fact of telling you guys my opinion, is a big step that would help me in the future to become more skilled in the communication with others.
I learned many words, and even this project made me analyze my opinion on certain issues that I never ask myself what I thought about them. I am more than grateful for this experience and I hope to do it again one day.
When I was very small I lived infront of the beach. I remember that every day in the morning and at night I sat in front of the sea and admired it again and again. Always asking me How we can be part of something so big and wonderful as the world? How is it possible that a giant ball floating in the galaxy we call it home? Analyzing the above we all share the same habitat. That is why today I urge you that if you want something in your life, you should do the first step and not expect someone else to do it for you. Humans always tends to care for and protect your area or territory, but why not the whole world? Recycling Cups have decreased over time, the crimes have increased. There are several sets of problems in our world that I miss and simply do not act. We blame other countries or person that dosent have the fault. You must be the one who take the first step and cast the first stone. If you want to see a change, strive and work to achieve it. The effort will be worth it in the future and theres nothing better than the satisfacion that this phrase give to you "I tried." Be the change you wish to see in our world. So let's show a little love, you never know we could change, so throw a pebble in the water and make a wave!
14 years ago my parents decided to pick a place where I could start my studies. They search, their backgrounds, origin, region, philosophy, religion and many other things that are important to the intellectual growth of your child. After much effort and search the decision was made. They choose Colegio San Jose, located in Caguas Puerto Rico. I remember the sadness I felt upon, entering and knowing I would have to leave my comfort zone, my home and my family. The only thing that I wanted was the bell rang to go home with my people. Time to time special friends come to my life, i know very well prepared teachers, in some way I star getting fascinated how I was learning so much thing in just a short time. My point of view changed completely, I wanted to keep going just to learn new things every day and see all my friends. If you think about it, you spent more time there than at home. I was till 7:30am through 3:00 pm and that is just studying but if you add all the hpurs that I spent in the extracurricular activities after school. Basically the school was my second home. The years began to pass so fast that in a blink of an eye my sixth grade graduation came into my life. The academic preparation was so strong that the first day of intermediate school I was placed in the advanced level which I stay until Senior year. Over the years when I began to take exams for admission to college, I realized how well it came out and always give thanks to my school for giving me the preparation required to make all this possible.
Today I think the education in a person says a lot about it and can get you out of many troubles. There is nothing worse than an uneducated man. Apart from this, always have an intellectual knowledge is needed to overcome the circumstances that will arise during life. And I know the one that this institution and my parents give to me would continue helping me on the future.
In this post I will talk about one of my favorite movies called A Walk to Remember. This film premiere on January 25, 2002 in the United States. Directed by Adam Shankman Diridida and the writers Nicholas Sparks (novel), Karen Janszen (screenplay). The cast are Shane West as Landon Carter, Mandy Moore as Jamie Sullivan, Peter Coyote as Reverend Sullivan Daryl Hannah as Cynthia and Carter. It is true story, two North Carolina teens, Landon Carter and Jamie Sullivan, lowest are Thrown together after Landon gets into trouble and is made to do community service. As they know each other on the way Jamie makes him promise to never fall in love with her at first he do not understand her comment. Turns out she suffers from cancer and the doctor told her that the case had no cure. It is a very beautiful story you could see love as the central theme and how powerful is this feeling. For me love has no age and no time everything comes when it is the right time to come. For these two young guys love came in high school and it is amazing to see how the give it all just to make her happy and never go away knowing about her disease, the story of true love. We can also mention the issue of religion, represented in the character of Peter and Jamie. Throughout the drama reflects this strong attachment to the Christian religion and the father (Peter) of Jamie at the start prevents her of having this thing with Landon. She also shows us in his actions, deeds and thoughts of the importance of being faithful to God and how he help us get throght the problems on life. I really like this film because my aunt's introduced me as his favorite movie many years ago and I decided to see it. As soon as I saw it, my outlook on life changed completely. The amount of teachings, bible quotes available is extraordinary. I recommend it, it is a movie that you would never regret to see, I assure you, it is an excellent one.
From an early age the band Wyckoff, New Jersey made up of Paul Kevin Jonas, Joseph Adam Jonas , and Nicholas Jerry Jonas, recognized for their artistic names Kevin, Joe and Nick. This brothers have attracted much attention, other than they are beautiful, this three play a very important role in my life. This band was discovered in 2005 when a barber listen to the least of the brethren "Nick" singing a song that sounded at that time on the radio. It turned out that a director of a record label company hears him and offers to work with him. The small kid with only 13 years old, responds very excited "that he would love to, but he would accept only if his brothers also participated." And this is how it all started a band that has won the hearts of all those people and great respect worldwide. They songs from the beginning caught my attention, I identified with his lyrics, his life and experiences. Other than that, I always saw them as my idol and my role model to follow. From start to finish they were very humble mans, wanting to keep fighting, and they connection as brothers was incredible. I was amazed at the amount of community service they participate, they are very catholic and christian very faithful on their beliefs. This is very different from the other artists that become famous and forget who they are and where they come from. I see these brothers as a common and ordinary people who all they do is strive to be better persons by just incorporating music on their life. Like everything, there was a watershed moment in his career, one night during a show Nick falls to the ground without any meaning, taken to the hospital by ambulance, after several days of hospitalization is diagnosed with diabetes type one. I remember an interview that emphasizes how the world was falling over him, the media went crazy. It was a shock to everyone, so for his family. Nick never stop his dream of bringing their characters through the music at all. After stabilizing, he informs the world that he is not going to stop. Just for this act is that today I admire him and his brothers. Because he never say never, no matter how strong would be the way or how many times you have to fall he always choose the side of hope not the surrender one.On October 29, 2013 comes to public light the news that they would break up because they want to devote more to their families and individual things and decided to be brother first. Exactly one year ago exactly I remember how I cried, my tears went down, but I see forward to the future and now I know that they would be with me no matter what happen. But I live every day hoping to get up one morning and see in all social networks "The Jonas Brothers are back" my whole life would be filled with joy, but I am very proud of them and grateful to God for giving me these three models of life in my whole adolescence and even my adulthood.
Today the media are used for many things, we must accept that without them the world today day did not have much sense. These have different functions such as inform, surveillance, hold society together, entertain, different service systems, etc. Over the years with technology this mass evolve a lot, but as it brings benefits and consequences to. In this paper I will talk about the consequences but more focused on social networks and the well known "bullying". According to the Association of Government (stopbulllying.gov) defined bullying as an unwanted movement, aggressive behavior among school aged children that involves real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time. Both kids who are bullied and who bully others may have serious, lasting problems. Not many people stop and think as the percentage of persons that suffer from this, its sick how this grow over the years.
When I meditate about this theme I immediately think of this movie that win so many awards, for the very positive message they want to present to the viewers. This film is so that even teachers on their classes star using it for projects and just to let the students know that this is real, its called Cyber Bully. This is a brief example of how social networks can be used both positively to connect with our friends, family, etc but also in the negative way for insults, false identities, problems in general. A case like this cause just to lower a self-esteem of a person so much that reaches this point when you don't want to be in someones life and even in this world. We have to be very careful on what we post because any photo or information can be used positively or against you. It's amazing the strength that the media have, with the touch of a button you can feel insignificant and that hurts yourself inside. I believe that in general this is a weapon that we carry and use every day. We live in a generation which methods of communication are necessary to survive it is our tool, we do not separate at all of a telephone, a computer, tablet, etc. It is like we born with them, in the future society reaches a point where it scares me, when we have 80 years old how would be the world? better? worse? That's the real question.
When someone ask me about what meaning I give to marriage, I always think of solidarity between two people who love each other and decide to share a same experiences for the rest of his life. Since childhood we all dream of the day when your share your life with a special someone or rather "prince charming" that we see in Disney movies or novels. I remember when my brother was feigned to be my husband and I forced him to walk with me until an alleged cardboard altar I created it, it's such a funny memory but very meaningful for me. Today the definition of marriage has changed in my thinking as an adult you want a complete person, that meets your expectations in which you trust in, be a good father to your children, a great family man, worker, etc. The one that loves you fully no matter what are the circumstances, in the happiness and the sadness, sickness or health. I am in favor of marriage and in the future I know that there's going to be this person that arrive into my life and completely changed in a positive way. As an example I have the relationship of my parents and I think that it would help me a lot to learn when it's my turn. See daily the love they have, the dedication and commitment every day, makes me beat and fight to have the happiness that they shown. Seeing them so happy after 20 years and feel the intensity with which they rise wanting to succeed is impressive. I think I have the best example next to me and I thank them for being who they are. I have the best parents, I couldn't ask for more. I am glad to be they daughter and a sign of their pure love.
